The Life Firm ("we," "us," or "our") built this calculator to give you an honest, private way to find out how much life insurance your family might need. This page explains what information we collect when you use it, why we collect it, and what happens to it afterward.
Most of the calculator works without collecting anything at all. As you answer questions about your family, your bills, your debts, and what you already have, that information stays in your browser and is used only to calculate your number on screen.
If you choose to submit the form at the end to request your real quote, we collect:
If you use the lighter "just email me my number" option instead, we only collect your email address and your coverage gap number.
We use the information you submit for one purpose: so a licensed agent can follow up with you about your real price and answer your questions about life insurance. We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for anything beyond helping you get covered.
We use a third-party service called Formspree to receive and deliver form submissions to us. Formspree processes your information on our behalf and has its own privacy practices, which you can review at formspree.io.
The agent who contacts you about your quote is a licensed, independent insurance agent. Agents are not employees of The Life Firm — they work with us as independent contractors, sometimes called "1099 agents." We share the information you submit with the agent assigned to follow up with you so they can contact you and help you get a real quote. That agent is required to handle your information responsibly, but they are a separate business from The Life Firm, not part of our company.
Beyond Formspree and the agent who follows up with you, we do not share your information with any other company, and we do not sell it to anyone.
We may use tools such as web pixels or analytics tags to understand how people use this calculator and to improve it. These tools may collect general information about your visit, such as which pages you viewed. They do not collect the personal details you type into the calculator unless you choose to submit the form.
We keep the information you submit for as long as needed to follow up with you about your quote, and afterward for as long as reasonably necessary for our business records. If you'd like us to delete your information sooner, contact us using the details below and we will honor your request.
You do not have to use the calculator or submit the form. If you've already submitted your information and want us to delete it, stop contacting you, or tell you what we have on file, reach out to us and we'll take care of it.
This calculator is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
If we make changes to this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page. We encourage you to check back from time to time.
